Energy Partners launches Syntiro energy management system
Industrial energy solutions company Energy Partners has launched its operational performance data platform Syntiro that uses granular, real-time meter data at five-second measurement intervals of power, cooling, water and heating to produce full, integrated sustainability reports.
Energy Partners, which owns and operates more than $90-million in embedded energy assets in South Africa, developed the system for its own use.
It highlights the benefits of the system, including its granular integration capability and automated roll-up reporting architecture.
“Efficient and sustainable performance of critical infrastructure at scale is non-negotiable. We need to know how every asset is running, catch performance issues before they escalate and stay accountable to our clients and capital providers,” says Energy Partners CEO Manie de Waal.
Syntiro delivers a single integrated source of truth, from plant-level data and utility monitoring, all the way to strategic emissions reporting, says Energy Partners Sustainability GM Mila Vicquery.
“Our clients are using it to streamline reporting, track performance in near real-time and make smarter, faster decisions that support both compliance and competitiveness,” she says.
Syntiro connects the dots between compliance and commercial value and provides the visibility and control needed to run better, leaner and more resilient operations, says De Waal.
Further, Syntiro tracks more than 20 000 points across emissions, including Scope 1 to Scope 3 emissions.
It also provides utility oversight, anomaly detection and accurate billing across electricity, gas, diesel and water. Similarly, for asset intelligence, it provides predictive maintenance, real-time Internet of Things monitoring and lifecycle optimisation to reduce downtime and extend lifespan.
For healthcare provider Netcare, Energy Partners offered insight and support for visualising, tracking and benchmarking utility consumption for the group's energy portfolio, says Netcare national environmental sustainability manager André Nortje.
“We have already achieved a 34% total reduction in energy consumption per bed and are well on track to meet our 2030 targets,” he says.
