Occupational safety and health trade show A-OSH EXPO 2026 returns to Gallagher Convention Centre from June 2 to 4 as one of South Africa’s most comprehensive platforms for occupational safety and health suppliers.

The expo will again run alongside Securex South Africa, the Facilities Management Expo and Firexpo, with RE+ South Africa joining the schedule for the first time.

Montgomery Group Africa portfolio director Mark Anderson says this broader format reflects a shift towards integrating safety, security, energy and facilities-management themes within workplace operations. He notes that exhibitors and visitors increasingly seek solutions that can be aligned across multiple risk areas.

“A-OSH EXPO continues to attract organisations that view occupational health and safety as a strategic priority.” This is driven, in part, by rising regulatory expectations, faster technological change and a stronger emphasis on employee wellbeing. These factors are shaping investment decisions across industrial sectors, Anderson says.

Heat stress will be a key area of focus in 2026. Anderson points to higher temperatures affecting construction, agriculture and mining, and says South African operations are reporting more frequent heat-related disruptions. He references international research indicating that heat is emerging as one of the fastest-growing occupational hazards, with global exposure estimated at close to 70% of the workforce. He adds that exposure levels across Africa are recorded at above 90%, contributing to higher injury rates and notable productivity losses during extreme heat events.

Anderson says this trend is prompting demand for technologies and practices that support heat-risk management. He suggests that interest in heat-monitoring systems, cooling equipment, environmental sensors, climate-responsive personal protective equipment and specialised training is growing. The expo will outline how these tools connect with broader safety priorities, such as fire protection, security integration and smart-facility management.

Other sector themes will also be addressed. Anderson says digital OHS platforms, ergonomic developments, hazardous-materials controls, mental-health support and environmental-monitoring systems continue to gain relevance.

“The free-to-attend seminar theatres across all five shows will provide insights into regulatory changes, sector-specific risks, climate-related compliance, and practical strategies for protecting staff in high-exposure environments,” he says. He adds that these sessions consistently draw industry interest.

The co-location with Securex South Africa, the Facilities Management Expo, Firexpo and RE+ South Africa hones in on the growing link between workplace safety, security technology, energy resilience and building-management efficiency. Anderson says this combined format allows visitors to assess how integrated solutions may reduce operational risk and support compliance.

Anderson adds that A-OSH EXPO 2026 will provide suppliers with a structured environment to engage with buyers and outline available technologies. “Visitors will have access to demonstrations, technical guidance and information aimed at supporting safer and more efficient workplaces,” he concludes.
