Extending reliability through proactive solutions
DEWATERING AND DRAINING Sulzer’s extensive range of pumps includes many drainage and dewatering solutions
KEEP IT MOVING Sulzer’s in-house test rig for wheel motors ensures fast and effective overhauls
Leader in pump and fluid engineering Sulzer attended the Asia-Pacific International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX) 2023, which was held at the Sydney Showground last month, displaying its comprehensive pump and service solutions for the mining industry.
At AIMEX, Sulzer demonstrated its extensive knowledge of mining equipment and its comprehensive range of services, as well as its ability to deliver cost-effective, proactive maintenance support for all rotating equipment.
Further, it noted that its services also comprise support for mobile equipment such as electric-drive haul trucks, electric rope shovels and draglines, for which Sulzer has dedicated maintenance facilities for overhauling these components, which includes upgrading direct current drives to alternating current units.
The company has also made additional investment into exchange wheel motors, grid blowers and alternators for electric-drive haul trucks as part of its reconditioned exchange programme. These can be delivered and installed rapidly, saving time, and boosting productivity in mines.
Sulzer’s worldwide network of manufacturing facilities and service centres offer “unrivaled expertise” in supporting the mining industry. As an independent leading manufacturer, Sulzer has one of the most comprehensive ranges of pumps in the world, with many of them specifically designed for mining applications.
The company offers innovative solutions in the maintenance and repair of rotating equipment used throughout the industry.
Flow Equipment
The original-equipment manufacturer has an “exceptional” range of specialised pumps and agitators for mine water management, and minerals and metals processing applications. Beyond its widely adopted range of standard models, it offers wholly customised solutions to ensure reliable pumping performance with abrasive, corrosive, slurry, or clear liquids.
Sulzer’s unrivaled design expertise ensures that its pumps deliver market-leading efficiency, lower energy usage, reduced costs, and a minimal carbon footprint.
Durability and reliability are promoted through advanced material technologies, enabling extended service intervals, improved pump uptime and a much longer mean time between failures.
Wireless condition monitoring, supported by the insights of Sulzer experts, provides all the analytics required to inform effective preventive maintenance.
Using its extensive service centre network and “state-of-the-art” repair facilities, Sulzer also provides on-site maintenance as well as complete overhauls of large pumps, including reverse engineering of obsolete parts.
Sulzer has expert design and manufacturing capabilities for new high-voltage coils with an extensive database of coil designs, as well as for commutators, offering one-stop-shop services for rotating equipment including pumps, generators and motors.
