First Battery showcases lead-acid recycling facility

Battery manufacturer First Battery took media on a tour of its lead-acid battery recycling facility to highlight its capacity and capabilities. Schalk Burger has the story.

Schalk Burger:

The facility recycles about 80 t of lead-acid batteries a day, converting the plastic into new plastic pellets, while the lead is smelted and cast into ingots that are used in its factory in East London to make new batteries.
