Multinational engineering and manufacturing company Danfoss Fire Safety – part of the Danfoss Group – will be presenting a session at the Firexpo South Africa 2022 being held from May 31 to June 2 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Gauteng.

The session will take place in the Securex seminar theatre on May 31 at 13:30, on the benefits of high-pressure water mist technology for fire safety in data centers.

Danfoss Fire Safety global data centre manager Lewis Oxley will cover the fact that the demand for data storage capacity has reached an all-time high, thus increasing the need for building and expanding data centres.

Minimum downtime and offering best possible protection for the people and the equipment inside the data centre is paramount.

He invites attendees to join this session to get insights into the fire suppression technologies available.

Here they will learn about the facts and benefits of using high-pressure water mist technology for fire safety such as minimum downtime, sustainability, keeping the ventilation running in the data centres and the possibility of lowering the total cost of ownership.

Danfoss Fire Safety is a global leader in the sales, development, production and service of fire protection systems, under the brand name SEM-SAFE.

SEM-SAFE is a high-pressure water mist firefighting system that uses micro-droplets released through nozzles into protected areas. It comprises a modular pump unit, section valves, water mist nozzles, press fittings and stainless-steel pipe.

The system is safe, efficient and uses an environment-friendly technology: water. With small pipe dimensions, large coverage, minimal water consumption, a compact pump unit and simple design, SEM-SAFE high-pressure water mist is the optimum solution to protect against a fire.

The SEM-SAFE system is tested and approved in accordance with FM approvals which is the independent testing arm of international insurance carrier FM Global.

SEM-SAFE is also approved by institutions such as Vertrauen Durch Sicherheit, The European Committee for Standardisation and the International Maritime Organisation.

Having extensive global experience, Danfoss offers reliable fire protection for commercial and industrial buildings, and transportation.
