Implats rebrands RBPlat subsidiary as Impala Bafokeng
Local platinum group metals (PGMs) group Impala Platinum (Implats) has renamed its newest subsidiary – PGMs miner Royal Bafokeng Platinum (RBPlat) – as Impala Bafokeng.
Implats has also rebranded the subsidiary with the distinctive Impala logo by which all Implats Group companies are identified.
This rebranding also marks RBPlat’s delisting from the JSE.
“We are delighted to announce the rebrand to the market. Our rationale for acquiring control of RBPlat, now Impala Bafokeng, was unwavering.
“The merger advances our commitment to grow and secure the competitiveness and sustainability of the Southern African PGMs sector, which we believe is in the national and regional interest. We are undoubtedly stronger together,” states Implats CEO Nico Muller.
