Libra Solar project.

Location
About 32 km south of the Fort Churchill substation in Yerington, near the Mineral and Lyon county borders in Nevada, in the US.

Project Owner/s
Arevia Power.

Project Description
Libra Solar will be the biggest solar energy and battery storage development in Nevada.

The project features a 700 MW ac solar energy system, paired with a 700 MW battery energy storage system capable of delivering 2 800 MWh/d of energy storage. The project is set to produce 1 948 000 MWh/y.

Potential Job Creation
The project is expected to create 1 100 jobs during its development and construction phases, providing $250-million in direct wages.

Capital Expenditure
$2.3-billion.

Planned Start/End Date
The project is expected to be in service by the end of 2027.

Latest Developments
Arevia Power announced the signing of a power purchase agreement with NV Energy in June 2024.
