Engen has appointed Tebogo Mosehla as their managing director in Lesotho, with his focus being to
grow and strengthen the business in the kingdom.
“I’m passionate about making a positive difference to the Lesotho community through Engen’s CSR programmes, innovation and people capability development,” comments Mosehla, whose distinguished journey with Engen began in 2010 when he joined the company as an Internal Auditor.
Proving himself a valuable asset to the organisation, in 2012 he took up the role of Risk Manager for Engen’s businesses outside of South Africa, playing a critical role in localising policies and improving governance in a number of sub-Sharan countries.
Mosehla later moved to Commercial sales where he focused on strengthening customer relationships and aligning Engen’s teams in various countries to ensure seamless delivery processes.
Such was his impact that in 2018 he was seconded to Engen’s parent company, PETRONAS, where he played an instrumental role in the development of a customer rewards programme in Malaysia.
In his most recent position, Mosehla was responsible for Business Development in Engen’s Commercial division.
Based on this proven track record of success, Engen’s General Manager of Commercial and International Business, Drikus Kotze, is excited by Mosehla’s appointment.
“I have no doubt that Engen Lesotho’s business will benefit from Mosehla’s leadership qualities and considerable experience as well as his relentless energy and positive outlook,” says Kotze.
Engen currently operates a retail network of 230+ service stations spread across Botswana, DRC, eSwatini, Lesotho, Mauritius and Namibia, of which 10 retail service stations and a further 17 branded commercial retailers are in Lesotho.
Engen also operates a further 1 000+ sites in South Africa.
The company also focuses on the commercial fuels and lubricants sectors in these countries, as well as having reseller agreements for lubricants in several other sub-Saharan African countries.
As a proud member of international oil giant PETRONAS, Engen markets state-of-the-art customer solutions and technologically advanced lubricants, says Mosehla.
“Offering our customers reliable, high-performing lubricants, coupled with our efficient tailored innovation solutions and value enhancing technical services, Engen and PETRONAS lubricant products are specially developed to withstand Southern Africa’s harsh conditions and ensure that equipment runs smoother for longer.”
He adds: “With more than a century of experience lubricating and protecting equipment across industries, Engen’s hard-working products have been developed to provide the best protection for equipment in order to increase productivity, reliability and ultimately reduce costs.”
