Labour union the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) is set to sign a wage agreement on behalf of its members at the Sibanye-Stillwater gold operations, in South Africa, on November 8, in Boksburg, Gauteng.

This comes as it was given a fresh mandate by members during trade unions’ labour joint mass meetings on November 5, where members overwhelmingly accepted Sibanye-Stillwater’s latest wage increase offer of R900 for workers in categories four to eight and 5.5% for miners, artisans and officials.
