Rapid response dewatering services extended across Southern Africa
Efficient dewatering solutions are essential to help minimise disruptions and ensure operational continuity and productivity, especially in mining operations across Southern Africa challenged by heavy rainfall, groundwater infiltration and operational water management issues.
Dewatering pump solutions provider Integrated Pump Rental (IPR) is expanding its rapid response dewatering pump services to the broader Southern African mining sector, following its acquisition by Atlas Copco specialty rental division.
IPR says the acquisition will enable it to leverage Atlas Copco's regional footprint, advanced logistics and strong presence in Southern Africa’s mining hubs, allowing it to provide rapid service responses to customers in remote mining locations. It will enable the company to quickly deliver both diesel-driven surface and electric submersible pumps across borders, helping to minimise downtime for mines experiencing water management challenges.
IPR highlights Atlas Copco’s established operations and networks across Southern Africa, adding that the specialty rental division is known for its comprehensive service offerings and engineering expertise. This gives the company access to technical support that it can use to advise customers and offer after-sales support.
In South Africa, IPR rental solutions for short-, medium- and long-term dewatering needs include Atlas Copco diesel-driven pump and electric submersible pumps, Toyo heavy duty slurry pumps, and SlurrySucker dredging units. Being under the Atlas Copco umbrella allows it to extend its services to mining operations across the region.
"By leveraging Atlas Copco’s well-established presence, we can ensure faster delivery, better service and superior support to our customers. This means minimised downtime and maximum productivity, wherever they are located," says IPR sales manager Steve du Toit.
