Schneider Electric Once Again Recognised as Top Ranked Sustainability Leader in the Canalys Sustainable Ecosystems Leadership Matrix

Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has received the top ranking for the Canalys “Global Sustainable Ecosystems Leadership Matrix” for the second time in a row alongside Lenovo, HP and Dell.
The recognition underscores Schneider Electric’s commitment to sustainable practices and innovation, while supporting channel partners in the process. Vendors ranked as Champions are “those that are most focused on supporting channel partners in advancing their own sustainability initiatives,” according to Canalys.
Key assessment criteria for the matrix include sustainability leadership, corporate sustainability strategies, transparency on data, progress and transformation, and channel partner sentiment. Schneider Electric was crowned champion due to its renowned and proven reputation as a sustainability leader, its catalog of partner-oriented sustainability resources, promotion of a circular economy, and partner education initiatives.
Furthermore, Canalys noted Schneider Electric’s transformative work in helping partners manage their sustainability goals in the face of the massive surge in AI and data center expansion.
"To be one of only four companies to be named Champions shows just how difficult it is to be on the leading edge of this important mission and reaffirms our commitment to leading the charge in sustainability and efficiency,” said Paul Tyrer, Global IT Channel VP, Data Center Business, Schneider Electric. “While we are proud of this achievement, the journey toward a more sustainable future never ends. We will continue to refine and reimagine the future of the industry and how we can help our partners meet their decarbonisation targets.”
This year marks the second time Canalys has published the “Global Sustainable Ecosystems Leadership Matrix.” The first edition, released in 2023, also recognized Schneider Electric as a Champion when compared to industry peers.
These accolades acknowledge Schneider Electric’s long-time dedication to the channel and creation of supportive resources. In recent years, this has included development of energy assessments and audits for customers, as well as initiatives such as the Zeigo Activate — a new subscription-based software as a service (SaaS) solution for Channel Partners, the mySchneider IT Partner Program, Sustainability School for partners and Sustainability Impact Awards celebrating partners and suppliers who embrace sustainability. Schneider Electric also offers a Lifecycle CO2e TradeOff tool, the first of its kind for accurately estimating the total carbon footprint of data centers – including Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
“Schneider Electric has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting its partners with the development of their sustainability strategies and helping their customers make headway on meeting their sustainability objectives. A vendor’s position in the Canalys Sustainable Ecosystems Leadership Matrix is based on channel partner feedback, industry leadership in sustainability and Canalys analyst assessments,” said Elsa Nightingale, Principal ESG Analyst at Canalys, now part of Omdia. “Champions have proven the highest levels of excellence in moving the channel ecosystem toward a more sustainable future while simultaneously advancing their own corporate sustainability strategies.”
