Schneider Electric welcomes Andrés Diaz as Vice President of Power Systems for Anglophone Africa

Schneider Electric, the world’s most sustainableand a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation has announced the appointment of Andrés Diaz as the new Vice President, Power Systems for its Anglophone (English-speaking) Africa business. 

With 16 years of experience in the energy and industry sectors, Diaz brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to his new role on the continent.

Formerly, Director of Power Systems in North Andean, South America Zone Mobility Segment leader and Director, Power Systems for the Andean Cluster at Schneider Electric, Diaz will oversee the company’s Power Systems business across 24 countries in Anglophone Africa. His focus will encompass the new energy landscape, prosumer initiatives, and Transportation within the power infrastructure segments. 

“I am honoured to lead Schneider Electric's Power Systems Business across Anglophone Africa. My mission is to deliver leading solutions that support the energy transition and the development of sustainable, digital power grids,” says Diaz.

Diaz holds an MBA in UEAN, a degree in Mechatronics Engineering in UMNG, certification as a Project Management Specialist and has completed the INSEAD Transforming Schneider Electric programme.
