Self-priming pumps for demanding dewatering jobs
A range of modular, mobile self-priming pumps is designed for industrial-level dewatering and liquid bypass applications in the mining, construction, industrial, municipal, marine and emergency response sectors.
The Godwin BD150 family of self-priming Dri-Prime pumping solutions offers a range of mobility options, including skid, two-wheel trailer, four-wheel trolley, forklift pockets, and four-point lifting frame.
With its modular base design, the pumps are easy to transport and move, making them particularly suitable for emergency, ad hoc and temporary dewatering jobs, as well as for rental options. The BD150 is also said to be suitable for permanent jobs, providing standard engine-driven and electric motor-driven options that are regional emission compliant.
Designed for challenging conditions, the pumps can be used for sewage, slurries, and liquids with solids up to 75 mm in diameter. The units are said to be efficient and cost-effective, providing fully automatic vacuum or venturi priming, from dry to 8.5 m suction lift, with flow capabilities up to 592 m3/h and discharge heads up to 49 m.
The pumps provide a default 150 mm suction flange and delivery connections, with optional adapters to accommodate different sizes. Interchangeable impellers provide even flexibility for different requirements. Abrasion-resistant silicon carbide faces and an optimised centrifugal hydraulic design helps to reduce wear and maintenance.
The simplified control panel with key start-stop, ammeter, hour meter and low oil pressure indicator is designed to streamline operations. The pumps tackle a range of dewatering applications, including:
- Wastewater bypass and stream diversions
- Digester cleaning and sludge removal
- Emergency drainage of floodwaters
- Site drainage
- Wellpoint dewatering
- Process pumping
- Temporary raw water supply
- Barge ballasting
The Godwin BD150 self-priming Dri-Prime pumps are distributed by global water technology company Xylem.
