Project Description
The plant is expected to deliver about 6 000 GWh/y of renewable energy. Scatec will deliver one integrated solar and battery energy storage hybrid system, designed to deliver continuous, around-the-clock renewable baseload power. In addition, it will develop two standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) projects aimed at providing essential grid stability and support services. The hybrid system will be the largest solar and BESS installation in Africa and the largest investment in Scatec’s history.
