African Dawn partners with Singapore-based Watercloud to drive green development
Sustainable energy systems and digital infrastructure company Watercloud International has entered into a strategic partnership with African Dawn Investment Holdings to form a new joint venture (JV) entity called Wadisa Technologies.
African Dawn is a Cape-Town based investment and project development group, while Watercloud is based in Singapore.
Wadisa will operate from Singapore as a platform to spearhead the rollout of next-generation green infrastructure across Africa, including carbon credit offset platforms.
Watercloud’s technological expertise in green hydrogen, advanced battery energy storage systems, smart electric vehicle charging stations and green data centres will be aided by African Dawn’s extensive network, project capabilities and investment portfolio throughout Africa.
The companies are positioning Wadisa as a catalyst for transformative development and dynamic impact. “We aim to deploy technologies that address energy equality, digital access and climate resilience across Africa,” says Watercloud CEO Leonard Fernando.
In turn, African Dawn CEO CN Germishuizen states that the collaboration with Watercloud establishes a strategic gateway for African infrastructure to align with global environmental, social and governance standards.
“Wadisa will deliver inclusive, scalable and future-ready solutions to accelerate sustainable industrial growth on the continent,” he adds.
