JSE-listed health and wellness company Ascendis Health has started a process that could lead to the company being delisted from the exchange.

As part of this process, the company has made a conditional proposal to buy back its ordinary shares, excluding treasury shares, from shareholders who choose to sell. The proposed cash price for the buyback is 97c a share.

The repurchase will depend on certain conditions, including confirmation by an independent expert that the offer is fair.
