International engineering-led contractor Aveng says it expects to report earnings of between A$24.4-million and A$26.9-million for the financial year ended June 30, compared with a loss of nearly A$104-million reported for the 2023 financial year.

Further, its headline earnings are expected to be between A$37.2-million and A$39.5-million, compared with a headline loss of A$77.7-million in the prior financial year.

In a trading statement ahead of the publication of its results on August 20, Aveng reminded shareholders that the results for the 2023 financial year had included expenses amounting to A$104-million from the Batangas liquefied natural gas terminal project, in the Philippines, and losses from discontinued operations of A$12-million.

These are not expected to reoccur.
