The reimagined Engen Xtreme lubricants range roared onto the scene with a high-impact launch at The Galleria in Sandton this month, where industry professionals, mechanics, and key media were treated to an exclusive preview of the brand’s powerful new look and enhanced product performance.

Hosted by well-known media personality Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp, the immersive event showcased the new Engen Xtreme packaging – Next-Gen modern, sleek and designed for South African conditions – alongside the product’s superior formulation and market-ready innovation. From a live panel discussion with Engen’s technical experts to a high-energy showcase of the brand strategy behind Xtreme,  attendees left with a clear understanding of why Engen Xtreme is raising the bar in the premium lubricants space and is the professional’s preferred choice.

“Engen Xtreme is more than just a new pack – it’s a renewed promise to deliver premium protection in a proudly South African product,” says Melissa Graham-Tsaperas, Indirect Sales Marketing Manager at Engen. “This relaunch celebrates our commitment to performance, innovation, and packaging that speaks directly to the needs of South African mechanics and motorists alike.”

A Premium Look for a Premium Product

The new Engen Xtreme packaging delivers more than visual impact. It’s engineered for the workshop and the consumer – with improved handling, impactful  labelling, and built-in anti-counterfeit features that prioritise confidence and convenience.

What’s more, the bottles now include Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) materials, reflecting Engen’s drive toward sustainable innovation. Durable, functional and future-ready, the updated packaging supports responsible manufacturing without compromising on performance.

Built for South African Roads – and South African Pros

Engen Xtreme remains 100% locally manufactured, formulated in KwaZulu-Natal to withstand South Africa’s harshest driving conditions – from congested urban traffic to extreme temperatures and rugged terrain.Available in Standard S8, Premium S10, and Prestige S15 grades, the range has been expertly engineered to extend engine life, reduce wear, and optimise fuel efficiency – delivering true value across every vehicle type, from everyday workhorses to high-performance machines.

As vehicles evolve, so does Engen Xtreme – with next-generation technology that protects both legacy engines and modern powertrains. Engen Xtreme is engineered for progress.

A Strong Start

With its bold new identity and enhanced formulation, the Xtreme 2.0 launch has set the tone for an exciting year ahead. Attendees left the event energised and equipped to share the story of a brand built to go the distance – a product that’s as powerful in the engine as it is on the shelf.

The new Engen Xtreme lubricants are now available at authorised Engen retailers and service stations nationwide.
