Columbus Stainless CEO appointed Acerinox Europa CEO
Stainless steel producer Columbus Stainless has announced that its CEO Johan Strydom has been appointed the new CEO of Acerinox Europa, effective November 1.
Columbus, which is part of the Acinerox Group, says this strategic transition marks a significant opportunity for Strydom to manage diverse business ventures within the Acerinox group, as well as its expansive commercial networks.
The company says this leadership change underscores Columbus' commitment to business continuity and maintaining operational excellence during this transition period.
As Strydom steps into his new role, Columbus extends its congratulations and support, recognising the positive impact his leadership will bring to the Acerinox group.
"We are confident that Johan's extensive experience and proven record will drive success across various businesses within Acerinox,” says Columbus Stainless human resources GM Jo Mabhena.
“His appointment will not shift our focus as we remain aligned in commitment to delivering high-quality products and services to our customers, ensuring we meet their needs effectively and efficiently.”
Columbus explains that the CEO role will fall away from November 1, with newly appointed Columbus Stainless COO Riaan van Coller to report to Acinerox Group CEO Bernardo Velázquez.
Columbus says it is dedicated to maintaining operational continuity amid this leadership transition, noting that it is equipped with a well-qualified, capable and stable team.
The company says this proactive approach ensures that all team members remain focused on the company’s critical business goals, including the production, sale and delivery of top-tier products.
“As Columbus Stainless moves forward, we are excited about the opportunities this transition presents and remain committed to upholding our reputation for quality and excellence in the stainless and carbon steel industry,” the company says.
