Partnership aims to enhance local fluid power sector
OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH PARTNERSHIP With access to BMG’s central support functions, including engineering, technical expertise and manufacturing skills, Hyflo can further improve its service to its customer base
Incorporated fluid power technology provider Hyflo Southern Africa has been incorporated into engineering products and service provider Bearing Man Group’s (BMG’s) fluid technology division.
Effective as of December last year, this development is a positive move for both companies and for the local fluid power sector, which will benefit from the combined services of two streamlined organisations.
“As part of this restructure programme, all Hyflo’s customer and supplier trading activities will be integrated into BMG, yet Hyflo retains its brand presence in the market,” says BMG fluid technology division business unit manager Wayne Holton.
“The Hyflo team is excited to be part of BMG. We are confident that, with access to BMG’s central support functions, including engineering, technical expertise and manufacturing skills, we can further improve our service to our loyal customer base.”
Holton says, apart from new customers and markets which are being leveraged through BMG, the company is rolling out its product offering through BMG’s network of 106 branches, thereby enhancing sales and creating new opportunities for both companies.
“Hyflo’s product range and technical expertise are a perfect fit with BMG’s fluid technology services. Complementary products include hydraulics and pneumatics, hose and fittings, industrial valves, instrumentation, filtration and pumps, as well as lubricants and lube systems. “Hyflo’s highly skilled engineering, manufacturing and field service team will transition into BMG’s engineering division to ensure continuity for our customers.”
Hyflo’s operations in Bloemfontein, Cape Town and Vredenburg will continue to operate from their current locations, but these branches will eventually become BMG Regional Service Centres (RSCs). Each RSC will have a focus on engineering, sales support and the manufacture and repair of hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders and associated products.
