Inaugural Gauteng Innovation Showcase set for March

Presented by the Innovation Hub, the inaugural Gauteng Innovation Showcase is set to take place on March 18 in Lynnwood, Pretoria.

Under the theme ‘Igniting innovation for Sustainable Growth in Gauteng – Innovation starts here’, the showcase will highlight the vital role of technological innovation in driving economic growth and addressing societal challenges.

This event aims to unite thought leaders, entrepreneurs and academia to explore the latest trends in innovation from both global and local perspectives.

The day will feature an exhibition area showcasing “cutting-edge” technologies, interactive activities such as gaming, as well as provide networking opportunities through the Pitching Den and Matchmaking Services.

Attendees will have opportunities to engage in thought-provoking debates and discussions designed to inspire and educate.

The event will serve as a platform for South Africa’s tech companies, innovation holders and entrepreneurs and will bring together technological innovation holders in the national system of innovation, entrepreneurs and technology enthusiasts to showcase innovations intended to improve service delivery challenges, learn, collaborate and network within South Africa's dynamic innovation landscape.

The first-of-its-kind in Gauteng, the Gauteng Innovation Showcase will serve as an arena for advancing the technology and innovation spectrum and positively transforming various sectors, including multinational technology companies, government departments, research institutions, academia and startups.

The event will also provide participants an opportunity to showcase their innovations, share insights and collaborate with fellow innovators and investors, deal breaking to advance their innovations.

“The Gauteng Innovation Showcase embodies our commitment to harnessing the incredible innovative and creative talent eagerly seeking full expression in South Africa,” says Innovation Hub CEO Bangani Mpangalasane.
