Integrated pump dispensing system in use
PIUSI PITSTOP DISPENSER The dispenser is a compact product that can safely pump diesel fuel from a container through a connection to a 12 V battery supply
Flow-measurement equipment supplier Meter Systems, a division of Set Point Group, says the Piusi Pitstop dispenser fluid-handling equipment range is being used by telecommunications company Tesuco at one of its local project sites.
Meter Systems MD Warren Erasmus tells Engineering News that Tesuco is using the products to build diesel-refuelling trailers for filling generators at the undisclosed project’s tower masts.
He adds that the Piusi Pitstop was exhibited at the 2013 edition of the Electra Mining Africa trade show, which took place at the Nasrec Expo Centre, in Johannesburg.
“The Piusi Pitstop is a compact product that can safely and conveniently pump diesel fuel from a container through a connection to a 12 V battery supply at a guaranteed 45 ℓ/m from the automatic nozzle,” Erasmus points out.
Further, he notes that the system comprises two direct current-bypass fuel transfer pumps, a water filter and an automatic nozzle.
“The Piusi Pitstop is versatile and easy to install in fixed or mobile tanks,” states Erasmus, adding that the environment-friendly system also allows for a clean method of dispensing diesel from a container into a vessel.
He highlights that Meter Systems also supplies a range of fluid products, which complement the dispenser system and can be used in various industries where diesel is pumped with a 12 V battery supply, such as in the construction, mining and agriculture sectors.
“There is no other product such as the Piusi Pitstop pumps range on the market, as it offers customers convenience and safety, and we are pleased to have it as part of our product range,” Erasmus enthuses.
He concludes that the company also offers general in-house services, such as repairs on pumps, hoses and nozzles.
