Local glass packaging manufacturer Isanti Glass, a specialist in the food and beverage industry, prioritises seamless inbound and outbound logistics to always ensure on time and in full (OTIF) delivery of its premium products in optimal condition.

Outbound logistics at Isanti Glass is meticulously orchestrated to align precisely with customer demand. The company’s logistics team follows a comprehensive weekly load schedule that specifies customer locations and quantities, ensuring efficient operations. With an outstanding OTIF performance score of 96%, Isanti Glass’ priority loads are assigned specific time slots, not only optimising delivery efficiency but also exemplifying the company’s commitment to world-class logistical management.

Before shipment, the warehouse team conducts thorough checks to ensure all pallets meet predetermined quality standards. Any packaging that does not meet the condition of consignment standards is carefully addressed to maintain Isanti Glass’ excellence in glass production.

Packaging materials are delivered directly to the warehouse, ensuring efficient logistics management at the company’s expansive 56 596 m2 facility in Gauteng.

Meanwhile, raw materials arrive at the batch department, where they undergo rigorous quality inspections before advancing to the final production stages. This careful process guarantees that all materials meet Isanti Glass’ strict quality standards before being approved for use and brought into the warehouse and silos.

To prevent loss and waste and promote a circular economy, Isanti Glass implements a stringent sorting process for boards and pallets returned by customers. Items that do not meet quality standards for reuse in packaging are repurposed. Boards may be used in other operations such as furniture manufacturing, while pallets are sold for refurbishment or the production of new pallets. This reinforces the company’s commitment to sustainability in logistics and resource efficiency, ensuring materials are utilised responsibly throughout their lifecycle.

Through these efficient logistics practices, Isanti Glass consistently delivers excellence in glass packaging, meeting and exceeding customer expectations with unwavering quality and reliability, solidifying their reputation as a leader in the glass industry.
