Nampak appoints Riaan Heyl CEO from Feb 2026
JSE-listed packaging manufacturer Nampak has appointed Riaan Heyl CEO, with effect from February 1, 2026.
The board of Nampak is confident Heyl will advance the current business transformation process in a sustainable manner.
The board also thanked outgoing Nampak CEO Phil Roux for extending his tenure to ensure a seamless leadership transition.
Heyl is a seasoned fast-moving consumer goods executive and a chartered accountant by qualification with more than 20 years’ experience.
He has held senior positions across the industry, most recently as PepsiCo South Africa CEO, which acquired Pioneer Foods in 2020.
Heyl played a pivotal role in PepsiCo's leadership and business integration process, following this corporate activity.
He also worked alongside Roux during Roux's five-year tenure as CEO at Pioneer Foods, which bodes well for a successful transition, Nampak says.
