Nel to retire as WBHO chair, former CFO Henwood to succeed him
Construction group Wilson Bayly Holmes-Ovcon (WBHO) has advised that its chairperson and director Louwtjie Nel will retire, effective November 21.
He joined WBHO in 1987 having held various key positions in different divisions in the group over the years, including CEO between 2008 and 2019.
Charles Henwood has been appointed in Nel’s stead as director and chairperson, bringing more than three decades of experience in the construction industry to the board.
Henwood has held various directorships across a broad spectrum of disciplines and served as group CFO of WBHO previously.
Henwood will also join WBHO’s nominationcommittee, while WBHO reporting director Fatima Wakeford joins the social and ethics committee, effective November 20.
