New corrosion-resistant lubricators suitable for use in pumps
NTN-SNR READY BOOSTER 125 LUBRICATOR The lubricator ensures less friction, which therefore provides for significant energy savings and extended service life of components and equipment
RISK REDUCER The NTN-SNR Ready Booster 125 reduces the risk of contamination and accidents, particularly in dangerous areas
Engineering components distributor Bearing Man Group (BMG) states that its range of NTN-SNR bearing products has been extended to include a new single-point lubricator, where the grease is pressurised by a gas-generated unit, to provide continuous, reliable, clean and precise lubrication.
BMG highlights that typical applications for these corrosion-resistant lubricators are for bearings and plummer blocks, chains, electric motors, fans, pumps and conveyors in diverse applications in mining, construction and agricultural equipment, materials handling, electromechanical engineering, manufacturing, paper plants and steelworks.
Further, the company notes that the new NTN-SNR Ready Booster 125 lubricator range ensures less friction, which, therefore, leads to significant energy savings and thus extended service life of components and equipment.
BMG adds that other benefits include the reduced risk of contamination and accidents, particularly in dangerous areas; shorter maintenance times; improved reliability of industrial equipment; and lower operating costs.
“This automatic lubrication system, which eliminates the risk of excessive, or inadequate, lubrication, ensures the constant and regular lubrication of bearings, is suitable for use in humid and corrosive environments, as well as in applications that require stringent hygiene standards, including the food industry,” says BMG bearings division GM Rouff Essop.
He states that the NTN-SNR Ready Booster 125 automatic lubricators, which ensure precise lubrication using the correct grease, are easily integrated into various applications without the need to modify installations.
“The duration of distribution for 125 cm3 of grease, at a maximum pressure of 5 bars, can be adjusted from one to twelve months, using a rotary switch,” adds Essop.
The compact Ready Booster 125 lubricator is suitable for use in confined and restricted areas and comes ready to use, as no special assembly or tools are required.
A flow limiter valve is integrated in the oil version and the system’s transparent tank of high-density polyamide enables maintenance teams to easily check the grease level.
“These units possess an ingress 68 index protection rating to guard against the ingress of dust and water, can operate in all positions and can also withstand corrosion and exces-sive vibration. The Ready Booster carries the internationally recognised Conformité Européenne (CE) quality mark and is compliant with the requirements of explosion protection company Atex for products that can be used in explosives environments,” Essop highlights.
He also adds that various greases are available for different applications.
“For example, a general-purpose grease is suitable for industrial use; heavy-duty grease is recommended for high load applications in humid environments; and high-temperature grease is designed for long-term lubrication at high temperatures, up to peaks of 175°. A synthetic oil is available for high-temperature chains and a multipurpose grease, which complies with food and pharmaceuticals standards, is used for bottling machines, dairy equipment and in food manufacturing.”
BMG also supplies a full range of accessories to enhance performance.
Components include reinforced bases, protec- tion caps and brushes (for chain oil applications); various sizes of extensions, elbows, adapters, hoses and connectors; as well as attachment clips.
