Electrical and digital building infrastructure specialist Legrand has made a further commitment to its South African market with the complete renovation and extension of its existing premises in Sandton, Gauteng.

The recently completed refur- bishment encompasses new offices, an interactive showroom and a training facility, which will be used for customer discovery visits, training sessions and product launch events, says Legrand Southern Africa GM Luk Ivens.

The new building has general product displays in the 450 m² showroom and dedicated product solutions displays in the theme rooms to emphasise home automation, hospitality, healthcare and the office environment.

“Legrand’s products have been installed throughout the building to reflect the company’s compre- hensive stylish and functional solutions, which can be adapted to specific requirements,” he says, adding that understanding and meeting the requirements of distributors, electricians and specifiers, as well as being able to anticipate market trends, are an essential part of the Legrand approach.

As part of the Legrand group, which employs more than 35 000 people in more than 70 countries, the Southern African operation ensures that the local market keeps abreast of the latest international developments.

The renovation initiative will significantly improve brand awareness and enhance the company’s position in a developing sector while it contributes to a solid growth platform for the South African subsidiary, explains Ivens.

The construction encompasses fully functional distribution boards, Soluflex raised flooring and structured cabling throughout the offices. Besides trunking, which is designed for efficient power and data networking, as well as floor boxes, desk modules and diverse wiring devices, Legrand’s sophisticated lighting management and automation systems are also highlighted at the new premises.
