Return2Work launches vaccine-centred workplace information
The Return2Work public-private growth initiative has launched new resources to assist in raising awareness among workers and employers across the country related to the Covid-19 vaccines.
The initiative was launched in collaboration with the Solidarity Fund last year to facilitate collaboration between government and business to provide tools and guidelines to enable sectors to expedite a safe, effective and structured return to work.
The new resources include an educational video around the vaccine rollout, worker educational cards on the vaccine and a short programme called What’s Your Story (WYS).
WYS aims to facilitate conversations between employers and employees about the pandemic and the vaccine rollout.
The programme is intended to give employers and employees the space to talk and share stories about the pandemic.
Return2Work says this is especially critical at this time, with the pandemic having left many dealing with health- and stress-related challenges, as well as the challenges businesses face to survive.
These additional resources supplement a range of educational workplace material launched by the Return2Work Initiative in December 2020, with the aim of providing clear and targeted content on workplace safety.
All the resources are available free online on the Return2Work.co.za website and can be distributed via email, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to any organisation, government department, union, employee, civil society organisations or member of the public.
