New sponsor for packaging event
Pneumatics products provider SMC Pneumatics (SMC) is an official sponsor of Propak Cape 2017 where it will look to showcase an array of solutions tailored to the industry.
The company hopes to enlighten and excite visitors at the event by showcasing a broad and comprehensive range targeted at the industry. SMC’s expert team is on hand to discuss the latest in technology.
This will be the first Propak Cape that SMC has attended since opening its doors in Africa in April last year. The company points out that its national footprint – made up of more than 60 expert team members – ensures that they can meet the demands of the industry. Internationally, SMC has being voted among the one of the world’s most innovative companies for three consecutive years.
Moreover, the company will be providing more information on the SMC Nationwide Training Courses and will be handing out the 2018 Training Schedule at the event.
The training courses will cover the basic pneumatics, basic hydraulics, electro-pneumatics, electro-hydraulics, mechatronics and customised courses available throughout the year. SMC training manager Riaan van Eck and SMC apprentice Ryan Janse van Rensburg will be on the stand to discuss training requirements in terms of courses and equipment.
The company will also feature its diverse group of partners that it works with internationally.
“To ensure that we are constantly innovating to deliver on all industry requirements, SMC’s diverse portfolio includes dryers, chillers and ionisers,” SMC explains.
The company will also be showcasing its use of local manufacturing for certain parts. SMC explains that it offers local manufacture and assembly of select cylinders, valve manifolds, air service units and pneumatic and electro-pneumatic panels made to client specifications.
One of the last things that the company will be showcasing at its Propak Cape stand is the combination and the advantages of pneumatics with the world of electronics in SMC’s comprehensive assortment of electrical actuators, motors and controllers.
“We like to work with our customers to establish the best solution for their application. Visit our stand to discuss requirements with SMC’s electric solutions specialist Ernst Smith,” SMC states.
The company concludes that it prides itself on working closely with its customers and through its technical support structure is able to provide solutions that improve productivity and reduce overall production costs. The company opened its first South African office in April 2015.
Propak Cape will be taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from October 24 to 26 and will host over 200 local and international exhibitors.
