Fastener provider expands portfolio
SHINING LIGHT Solar installations need a reliable and sturdy fastener to hold the panels and frame together while outside in the elements
Solar system fastening solutions provider Ejot has announced the launch of its EJOFAST JF3-2-6.0, a 6 mm self-drilling screw that expands on Ejot’s already vast portfolio of fasteners for solar systems on various roof types and substructures.
The company notes that the established EJOFAST self-drilling screws range ensures a secure application on the surface, with no sharp-edged swarf and a high assembly speed.
Further, the JF3-2-6.0 is especially used in the solar industry for applications such as elevated solar substructures on trapezoidal profiles using a short rail system.
Similar to all EJOFAST self-drilling screws, the JF3-2-6.0 offers a “secure and slip-free application”, along with a reduced swarf fastening by means of a finely crafted tip geometry, and with a slightly larger diameter compared to the JF3-2-5.5.
The JF3-2-6.0 completes the product range of EJOFAST self-drilling screws and complements the JF3-2-5.5 for all applications.
The slim, single-fluted drill point produces no sharp-edged chips, which can often get stuck in inopportune places and would require time-consuming removal.
Additionally, the special thread shape improves assembly speed, allowing the fitters to work considerably faster.
Ejot also offers assessment body European Technical Assessment-approved EJOT solar fasteners with a sealing washer and ORKAN storm washers as part of its solar portfolio.
The fastening element is made from stainless steel and is suitable for assembly of PV systems on roofs with either a trapezoidal profile, sandwich panel or corrugated fibre cement sheets.
The screws transfer all tensile and compressive forces directly into the substructure.
The company concludes its EJOFAST JF3-2-6.0 is complemented by an assortment of sealing elements and adapters.
