Project Description
The project will be one of the largest renewable-energy projects in the US, if it is built to its intended capacity. It is planned to have up to 1.2 GW of generating capacity through nearly four-million solar panels and up to 7 200 MWh of paired battery energy storage.
The site is expected to power up to 800 000 homes. The project will include the construction of an interconnection substation, up to six collector substations, and up to four operations and maintenance facilities. In addition, up to 15 km of 230 kV overhead transmission lines, in addition to other structural work, including roads, fencing, and gates, will be built.
