The Africa Energy Indaba Conference is the definitive energy conference for Africa providing an annual programme that shapes energy policy for the African continent. Key issues that impact on the African energy sector will be discussed and debated at the event, based on the outcomes of the 2018 Africa Energy Ministerial Roundtable.

The conference will provide an opportunity to debate policy, review industrial progress and market trends, discuss the efficiency of various public support mechanisms and public–private partnerships across the continent and review new data and the latest technological trends globally. Delegates in the early stages of their careers will have an opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of the energy sector and to lay the foundations for their role as “future energy leaders”.

Delegates who attend are able to draw from an international knowledge base and collectively represent a combination of industry experts, project developers, financiers, energy users, government officials and manufacturers. Diversity of experience and the knowledge provided by a broad base of delegates exposes attendees to a vast array of benefits, including:

  • Knowledge on the current trends within energy across the African continent, with input from global authorities
  • Exposure to future industry trends
  • Exposure to the growing interest in ‘green’ and sustainability issues in the context of developing countries
  • An understanding of the research needed to transform the primary energy-related industries of oil, gas and coal so these abundant resources can continue to be exploited responsibly
  • Examples and best practices from other industries
  • Exposure to government and business leaders’ plans to address energy demand
  • The chance to share ideas and network with business associates in a rewarding, off-the-record setting

Gain an understanding of how the new energy landscape is creating new opportunities to address Africa’s challenges, improving the way African energy practitioners work, the impact training and development and attracting new talent and technology to Africa.

Delegates will have an opportunity to network with more than 600 senior-level energy sector experts and decision-makers responsible for the planning and development of Africa’s energy requirements. Government and municipality representatives, project developers, consultants, analysts, environmental engineering, equipment and technology solutions providers, banks, investors, automotive and transport representatives, green energy experts, commodity traders, agents and brokers and media houses have already declared their attendance.

Attendees will be hearing from more than 160 expert speakers discussing the latest in industry practice and have an opportunity to visiting over 100 energy suppliers showcasing the latest technologies, equipment and services.
