MORE SUPPORT: Struggling State-owned freight logistics group Transnet has been granted an additional R51-billion guarantee facility, having been granted a R47-billion guarantee in 2023. “Given Transnet’s debt redemptions over its five-year corporate plan period of R99.6-billion, the government has initiated a process to allocate additional guarantees to Transnet, to at least cover the entire redemptions over the corporate plan period,” Transport Minister Barbara Creecy said, indicating that details would be finalised by July 25.
