A Women and Youth Empowerment Initiative scores an award at the Pan African Supply Chain Awards

Recognised and celebrated at the 2022 South African Freight Awards for Excellent Youth Achiever of the year, this year 2023 Annah Ngxeketo, CEO and Founder of Mamoja Trading & Projects scored a Pan African Supply Chain Award under the category The Best People Development Initiative. The awards were held on the 02 April 2023 at Sun Arena in Pretoria.
This win came after the recognition of the CSI Project called “A re Direng Mmogo” an in-house empowerment programme on free truck training for Youth and Women with codes 10 and 14, for when job opportunities arise. Annah is also using this initiative to address gender based violence (GBV), mental health and unemployment challenges around Marikana and other areas around Rustenburg. So far, Mamoja Trading & Projects has trained 10 people: one is permanently employed, two are under probation and two are still completing their training. With a track record that characterises her as someone who always looks for strategies and tactics that have high payoffs, Annah’s journey has validated her as a unique, collaborative leader with a balanced strength in strategy and operations.
Annah is committed to employing and developing women in transport at all levels of the company and industry. She also advocates for road safety and has embarked on several projects on safety to empower and encourage truck drivers to comply with legislation like Road Safety Campaigns.
Annah Ngxeketo (35) is a black female who was born and raised in Bapong Village in Rustenburg. Her multidisciplinary educational experience in the Sciences, blended with her extensive career experience in the transportation sector. Mamoja Trading & Projects offers earth-moving equipment for hire.
