Tin miner Alphamin Resources Corp has produced 1 290 t of contained tin at its Bisie mine, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) since April 15, when it was able to resume production.

Alphamin in March temporarily halted operations at the mine after a rebel group advanced in the nearby town of Walikale. It was able to resume operations in mid-April, after the rebels withdrew from the town.

Meanwhile, the first fully documented and approved-for-export lots of tin concentrate departed the mine, by truck, on May 9.
