A digital platform designed to allow customers to seamlessly order materials and manage accounts is said to be a first-of-its kind in the construction industry.

Launched by South African construction materials company AfriSam, the ClickToGo platform is said to be a “gamechanger” for the industry.

"Our goal is to prioritise our customers and drive progress in the industry, and ClickToGo, our innovative e-experience platform, will empower our customers and enhances their interaction with us,” says AfriSam customer experience manager Ilonka de Magalhaes.

The platform is designed to be convenient and easy to use, allowing customers to view orders, order directly from quotes, review order history, access essential account documents and credit information and track deliveries. Users also have the option to assign specific roles and permissions to staff, facilitating seamless collaboration within organisations.

Launched in November 2021, AfriSam says that ClickToGo has attracted significant interest with almost 70% of its 30-day account customers actively using the platform, which is being continuously refined and enhanced based on customer feedback.

A recent development on the e-platform is the inclusion of cash account customers, extending its use to all account customers. The streamlined online ordering platform has been integrated with the company’s online payment gateway, allowing cash account customers to conveniently place orders and make payments in a single transaction.

In addition, the platform can be used by cash account customers to apply directly for a credit facility, while 30-day-account customers can request credit limit increases on the platform, enabling a streamlined user experience.
