DELBA Electrical strengthens community development through partnership with the Masimong Foundation
Electrical rotating machine repairs and maintenance specialist DELBA Electrical’s commitment to excellence goes beyond its engineering expertise – the company believes in empowering the communities around it. As a proudly South African company rooted in the values of responsibility, inclusivity and long-term growth, DELBA is proud to partner with the Masimong Foundation, an organisation whose work in education, social upliftment and youth development aligns closely with its own values.
This partnership represents more than corporate social responsibility – it reflects a shared vision for a better South Africa, where the private sector plays an active role in supporting the next generation and ensures no community is left behind.
Shared Values, Common Goals
The Masimong Foundation, established by Sandi and Mike Teke, is renowned for its impactful work in under- resourced communities, particularly in Kwa-Thema, Gauteng. Through academic support programmes, school infrastructure assistance, food and clothing drives and career development events, the Masimong Foundation has become a beacon of hope for many learners and families.
DELBA’s collaboration with the Masimong Foundation is a natural fit. As a business that has grown through quality service, technical skill and long-term relationships, DELBA recognises the importance of investing in people. The company is a firm believer that a sustainable future must include education, skills development and community resilience.
Active Participation in Community Initiatives
DELBA has been actively involved with the Masimong Foundation’s initiatives over the past year. This includes participating in a career day, where DELBA specialists shared knowledge with high school learners about opportunities in the electrical, mechanical and industrial sectors. These events are critical in helping learners understand what career paths are possible, and how to achieve them.
DELBA provides technical and logistical support to create environments that are more conducive to learning. These contributions may seem small, but they have a significant impact.
Empowering Through Skills Development
As a leader in the electrical rotating machine repair industry, DELBA understands the importance of skills training. Through its partnership with the Masimong Foundation, the company is exploring ways to support young people who are interested in trades – particularly in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
DELBA is currently working with the Masimong Foundation to identify learners who show interest in engineering and industrial work and aims to open opportunities for them to gain exposure through site visits, mentorships and possible future internships at its facility in Springs. This initiative supports the foundation’s vision of long-term youth empowerment and aligns with DELBA’s belief that meaningful change comes through education and training.
Looking Ahead
This partnership is not about once-off donations, it is about building long-term relationships with communities, and showing that industry can and should play a positive role in society. DELBA and the Masimong Foundation understand that transformation requires consistency, collaboration and care.
As it looks ahead, DELBA remains committed to growing this partnership. Whether through greater volunteer efforts, technical training opportunities or deeper engagement with schools and learners, DELBA will continue to stand behind the Masimong Foundation’s mission to uplift, empower and inspire.
Together, these organisations are building more than electrical rotating machines – they are helping build hope, opportunity and resilience in communities that need it most.
