A lever-action type coupler designed to simplify the manual lubrication process and improve user safety, has been added to SKF’s grease gun and pump ranges. The LAGC S grease coupler will help enhance the performance, safety and ease of operation of its products, says the bearing and rotating equipment specialist.

Highlighting the benefits for operators, SKF product manager: MaPro Eddie Martens notes: “The robust LAGC S boasts a maximum working pressure of 550 Bars or 8 000 PSI, optimising lubrication tasks.”

Martens explains that the unit’s one-handed control facilitates use and enhances operator comfort, adding: “The coupler’s reliable locking and quick-release mechanism creates a leak-proof seal, allowing for hands-free lubrication. Moreover, the user-friendly reverse-jaw design ensures that the coupler firmly latches to the grease fitting, remaining securely attached to the seat without being held in place. Along with providing a seamless greasing experience free of broken fittings and leaks, the risk of grease spillage is minimised, ensuring a cleaner application.”

Compatible with all manual, air and electric-driven grease guns and pumps as well as with most common industrial German Institute for Standardisation, or DIN, and Society of Automotive Engineers, or SAE, grease fittings, the LAGC S coupler can be used for a variety of applications, although some functions may require an additional adapter.
