In response to growing industry demands, hydraulic repair service provider Dosco Precision Hydraulics has carved itself a niche as a leader in the supply and repair of hydraulic pumps and motors, effectively serving the mining and industrial sectors of sub-Saharan Africa for over 30 years.

The company, renowned for its high-quality, precision-engineered solutions, operates from its purpose-built facility in Sebenza, Edenvale, which spans more than 3000 m2 of workshop and warehouse space.

The “state-of-the-art facility” underscores Dosco’s commitment to minimising downtime for clients by housing thousands of components and spares, the company says, adding that it can ensure every repair meets stringent quality standards, evidenced by the test bench certificate provided with each service.

This is made possible through the company’s comprehensive service offering that includes stripping, assessment, and quoting through to assembly and “rigorous testing” of a range of hydraulic products, including gear pumps, piston pumps and hydraulic motors.

This commitment to quality was further enhanced when Dosco joined automotive and electronics distributor Hudaco Group in 2014. Hudaco is a Level 3 black economic empowered company and is listed on the JSE.

Hudaco, known for its specialisation in the import and distribution of high-quality branded products, thereby enriches Dosco’s offerings.

Dosco highlights its range of GPM Bushing gear pumps, which are engineered to “withstand the toughest applications” in drill rigs, lubrication systems, mobile mining equipment, and industrial machinery.

These pumps are quality tested to ensure they deliver stable and dependable performance, often exceeding published ratings, the company says.

Dosco is also the authorised distributor for several prestigious brands, including Kawasaki and Staffa.

Kawasaki, which is globally renowned for its hydraulic technology, helps Dosco supply a range of high-performance products to the South African market.

Additionally, Dosco’s brand portfolio includes Vickers, Sundstrand, Rexroth, Parker Denison, and Tyrone, covering an extensive variety of hydraulic needs.

The company’s innovative streak is highlighted by the PTO Pump GP3 and GP3T series, which use a direct-drive planetary design for efficient power transmission and smooth operation.

These positive displacement metering pumps “exemplify Dosco’s dedication to technological advancement in hydraulic systems”.

With a keen focus on future challenges and technological trends in the hydraulics sector, Dosco emphasises its commitment to driving progress and maintaining its status as the trusted name in hydraulic pumps and motors.

“As we continue to lead the market with its high-quality services and products, the company remains a cornerstone in the development of sustainable, long-term partnerships, ensuring its position as a market leader in hydraulic engineering solutions across sub- Saharan Africa and South Africa,” the company concludes.
