Local pumps supplier Raptech introduced Chinese pumps and garden equipment manufacturer LEO’s new High Lift Series LGP20-H petrol water pump onto the local market in July.

The LGP20-H features include a new design with a “highly efficient” hydraulic system.

The pump is designed for use in water supply and drainage applications for factories, mines, municipal facilities and field irrigation.

“With a reliable air-cooled, four-stroke, single- cylinder [petrol] engine, the pump benefits from low fuel consumption and a high-quality crankshaft,” Raptech asserts.

The company points out that the 4.8 kW- powered pump runs at rotational operating speeds of 3 600 rpm and has a durable sealing system with a special mechanical seal.

Additionally, Raptech notes that the LGP20-H has a 30 m3/h maximum flow rate and a 55 m maximum head, a 2.8 ℓ fuel tank capacity and a 6 m/120s maximum suction.

“LEO’s LGP20-2H model has the same features as its predecessor, the LPG20-H, but with a 20 m3/h maximum flow rate and a 80 m maximum head. Both types meet users’ specific requirements, while ensuring the highest degree of reliability,” the company highlights.

KBZ Dewatering Pump

Meanwhile, Raptech says that its KBZ sub-mersible dewatering pumps range continues to be one of the company’s best-selling products owing to its robust design.

“The pumps feature a 50 m maximum sub-mersion depth owing to its high-pressure- resistant mechanical seal,” states Raptech.

The body of the KBZ motor and pump is made of rigid cast iron for “long-lasting durability”.

Additionally, Raptech notes that the pump’s semi-open impeller is constructed from a high-chrome alloy with a ductile iron wear plate, which eliminates friction and thus provides superior durability.

“Effective motor cooling is achieved by the discharge chan-nel, cast as part of the motor housing, and the hermetically sealed motor is equipped with built-in thermal protection,” the company states, adding that space economy is achieved by a top outlet.

KBZ pumps operate in water temperatures of up to 40 °C. The pumps have a 147 m3/h capacity, with heads up to 51 m, and are supplied with an 8 m cable.

The system complies with insu- lation class F and ingress protec- tion 168 rating for pressure sen-sors and submersible pressure transmitters.

The pump also oper-ates on a three-phase 380 V electric power system and runs on a 50 Hz electric supply service system.

“KBZ pumps are particularly suited for use in civil engineering, mines, quarries, sewage treatment plants and general pumping applications. These pumps are also available in different voltages,” Raptech points out.

Rovatti Range

Further, the company notes that it stocks Italian pumps manufacturer Rovatti Pompe’s T, TK and MB Series range of pumps, which are suitable for a range of applications, including high-pressure delivery and high-volume transfer applications.

“The pumps are connected to the tractor by a universal power takeoff drive shaft and mounted on a trolley or three-point linkage frame,” notes Raptech.

The T Series comprises single-stage pumps for medium to high head duties, the TK Series comprises multistage pumps for high head duties, while the MB Series comprises single-stage pumps for low head duties.

The T and TK Series versions provide a vertical delivery and are able to rotate 90° in both directions, while the MB Series provides a horizontal delivery.

“A water circulation cooling system ensures greater safety and longer life of the overgear mechanical parts even when operating for long periods and in critical environmental conditions,” adds Raptech.

All types are constructed of high-quality cast iron, with a “dynamically balanced” cast iron impeller.

The overgear consists of a pair of cylindrical gears with helical teeth in tempered and case-hardened alloy steel supported by well-dimensioned ball bearings.

“The pumps offer oil bath lubrication, a dipstick oil level check and water cooling circulation,” Raptech concludes.
