Marley Pipe Systems is the leading manufacturer and supplier of plastic pipe systems, serving the needs of the mining and industrial segments with value-driven solutions for safe and sustainable operation in demanding pipeline applications.

Established in 1963, Marely provides HDPE pipe solutions, Megaflex mining and industrial hoses, Weholite structured wall HDPE pipe, Petroplas polyethylene (PE) pipe, Mine-Wall PVC-M pipe, Philmac compression fittings, Frialen electrofusion fittings and machines, fabricated and moulded buttweld fittings, HDPE gas piping and HDPE manholes.

Marley is also renowned for being the only company in South Africa able to manufacture and guarantee void-free fabricated HDPE fittings from its fully equipped fabrication workshop. Marley’s mining and industrial head office is located in Rosslyn, with manufacturing facilities in Nigel as well as multiple branches and depots throughout sub-Saharan Africa, and an export division selling into Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe and Australia.

Marley is supported by affiliations with the Southern African Plastic Pipe Manufacturers Association (Sappma) and the Installation and Fabrication Plastic Pipe Association (IFPA). As an Aliaxis company, Marley is dedicated to contributing to the future of South Africa. Its facilities have direct access to world-leading technologies that focus on the sustainable design and life-cycle approach for each and every product.

Marley is proud of the fact that it conforms to the highest international standards, with all products manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008-accredited factory under stringent process controls, and bearing various South African Bureau of Standards marks for products manufactured under this system.

Marley has supplied a PE solution to a number of large and complex projects, both locally and into Africa, including working on the DRDGold pipeline, Swartkops Airforce Base, Transnet hydrocarbon/fuel lines, Egoli Gas MTN pipeline and the Angola Cunene Water Project, to name a few. Marley was also awarded a long-term contract by Alternative Environmental Improvement to supply all the low-pressure LPGas pipes, and Frialen electrofusion fittings and equipment for the development of the LPGas reticulation piping network at the Waterfall Estate, in Midrand.

Going forward, Marley Pipe Systems plans on rapidly growing its footprint and increasing its presence through local representation in most mining hot spots.
