Schneider Electric, a global energy technology leader, proudly announces its recognition as a Top Employer 2026 in South Africa and its securing of the esteemed Blue Top Employer Seal for Africa. This achievement underscores the company’s commitment to cultivating an exceptional workplace culture across the continent and reinforces its position as an Employer of Choice in the region.

The accolade, awarded by the globally respected Top Employers Institute, follows Schneider Electric’s recognition in late 2025 as a “Great Place to Work, Best Place to Work, and Top Employer” across 11 key Middle East and Africa markets. With Algeria, Egypt, and Morocco joining South Africa in receiving individual Top Employer certifications, these achievements collectively helped secure the continental Blue Seal for Africa.

The Top Employers Institute, widely regarded as the global authority in HR certification, benchmarking, and advisory, evaluates organisations through its rigorous HR Best Practices Survey. The independent assessment spans six critical dimensions and 20 sub-pillars, including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Wellbeing, and the real-world application of policies and processes.

In South Africa, Schneider Electric achieved an impressive average score of 87.6 out of 100, significantly outperforming global benchmarks across most areas assessed. The company delivered standout results in Talent Management, Learning, and the Unite pillar, which encompasses purpose, values, diversity, sustainability, and ethics. Notably, Schneider Electric achieved perfect scores of 100% in four HR categories, demonstrating not only strong policy design and governance but also clear evidence that its people-first commitments are embedded in daily practice across its African operations.

“This accolade is especially meaningful because it reflects a comprehensive, evidence-based assessment of how we turn our people strategy into action,” says Tanya Ramlagan, Vice President for Human Resources, English-speaking Africa at Schneider Electric.

“Scoring above global benchmarks across most pillars and achieving exceptional results in areas such as talent development, learning, and our Unite pillar, confirms that we are not simply aspiring to global best practice, we are living it, and creating an environment where our people can truly thrive.”

This recognition further strengthens Schneider Electric’s employer brand across Africa and highlights its continued investment in building an inclusive, high-performance culture that enables employees to grow, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to the company’s sustainability mission.
