South Africans must pull in same direction to re-embed integrity

At this point in the history of our grossly disrupted world, it would be hugely beneficial for South Africans to pull in the same direction with vigour, enthusiasm and transparency – even if only for an agreed laid-down period. Firstly, collective agreement is needed for the rule of law to be re-established at the utmost speed and then investment appeal must be restored with the utmost smartness. If, on its own, the Financial Action Task Force could succeed in getting South Africa off the grey list, then good government, business and civil society collaboration should surely be able to re-embed integrity across the length and breadth of the economy.
